Description

HYDROTHOL Granular Herbicide is a fast-acting, granular contact herbicide and algaecide that is effective on a broad range of aquatic weeds including planktonic, filamentous, and branched algae, Hydrilla, Hygrophila, Naiad, Elodea, Cabomba, Coontail, Bur Reed, Milfoil, Pondweed (Potamogeton spp.), Vallisneria, Zannichellia and Water Stargrass.

Hydrothol is generally used for spot-treating problem areas, not recommended for use in overall type applications due to fish toxicity. Generally no more that 10% of a water body should be treated at one time. Dosage varies according to plant species to be controlled.

Dosage range is generally 3-16 lbs. per acre-foot for algae and 27-162 lbs. per acre-foot for weeds, depending on species.

Water Use Restrictions: Fish may be killed by dosages in excess of 0.3ppm. Do not use fish from treated areas for food or feed within three days after treatment.

Do not use water from treated areas for watering livestock, for preparing agricultural sprays for food crops, for irrigation or for domestic purposes within the following periods:

Up to 0.3ppm– 7 Days after application

Up to 3.0ppm–14 Days after application

Up to 5.0ppm–25 Days after application
